Below, a letter from Dr. Wengrovitz:
Dear Patients and Colleagues,
I am writing to notify you that after a fulfilling 26-year career of vascular surgery, I will be retiring as of August 31, 2022. As many of you know, I have been scaling back my workload over the past few years, in anticipation of this day. And now, at the end of this summer, the time has come.
However, please let me reassure you that my partners at PVA are available to continue your vascular care needs without interruption. As the region’s leading circulation experts since 1975, PVA’s mission is to provide our patients with the compassionate, state-of-the-art circulatory care they deserve. PVA remains committed to continuing to offer you the highest level of vascular care possible, both now- and in the future.
A heartfelt thank you to all of my patients for entrusting me with their care. It was a privilege and an honor to serve you and your families as a member of your medical team, and I will never forget the confidence you showed in me. I greatly appreciate the trust and support that you have given me, and you will always hold a special place in the memory of my years of medical practice. Please note that your medical records will remain available to you, should you wish to retrieve them. They are accessible both in the patient portal and at PVA’s office.
To my colleagues and referring providers: It has been a pleasure to work beside you for these past 26 years, and I want to personally thank you for entrusting me with your patients’ vascular care needs. I have considered it my great privilege to fulfill this responsibility. I have appreciated the opportunity to be a part of the San Antonio medical community since 1996. I can’t think of a better place to have practiced vascular surgery.
Finally, I want to thank my incredible team at PVA for their commitment and hard work over all of these years. I feel fortunate to have worked alongside the most dedicated and diligent vascular surgeons, who always put the interest of their patients first. My heartfelt appreciation to each of my colleagues for upholding our standards in excellence throughout your service to our community.
