Below, a letter from Dr. Tamez:

Dear Patients and Colleagues,

I am writing to notify you that I am retiring after having the honor to serve in vascular surgery for 40 years, which will go into effect on May 31, 2022.

In doing so, however, let me reassure you of Peripheral Vascular Associates’ (PVA) firm commitment to continue to offer you the highest level of vascular care possible.

It has been my pleasure to be involved with your care, and I have every confidence that my partners at PVA will continue to provide excellent care of your vascular disease.

Please note that your medical records will remain available at Peripheral Vascular Associates’ office, and are always accessible to you if needed.

I want to thank Jesus Christ, my Lord and Savior, for enabling me to serve others through peripheral vascular surgery for 40 years. The Lord changed my life and gave me a new heart in 1986, and for that I am filled with gratitude. I am equally blessed for the love and support from my family, parents, sisters, Cindy, my wife Anna Lisa, and my children, Alyssa, Danny, and Jennifer, throughout all of these years.

I want to thank PVA and our remarkable team for their commitment and hard work. I have been fortunate to work alongside the most honest and diligent vascular surgeons, who always put the interest of their patients first. My heartfelt appreciation for upholding our standards in excellence throughout your dedicated service to our community.

To my colleagues in the medical community- It has been my great privilege to assist with your patients’ care. I greatly appreciate the trust and support that you and your patients have given me, and I will miss working alongside you.

Finally, a heartfelt thank you to all of my patients for entrusting me with their care. It was a privilege and an honor to serve you and your families. You will always have a sacred place in the memory of my years of medical practice.

If you have any questions, or would like to obtain a copy of your medical record, please call (210) 225-6508 or visit our office at 610 N. Main Avenue, San Antonio, TX 78205.

Sincerely yours, Dr. Daniel D. Tamez
