NAVIGATING THROUGH 2020 WITH RESILIENCE

NEWS

As we navigated through a worldwide pandemic and the many challenges attributed to the unforeseen in 2020, we also had the opportunity to reflect on the things for which we are grateful.

At PVA, we are grateful for our amazing staff who are the backbone of our organization and who steered us safely through unprecedented times.  Their dedication to patient care has helped us become a leader in the field of vascular surgery.  Forty-five years in the making, we are one of the largest vascular surgery practices in the United States.  Our 20 vascular surgeons and six mid-level providers have the skill and expertise to provide the personalized care our patients need to return to a normal lifestyle.

At the end of 2019, PVA was on the forefront of innovation as it had begun offering Telemedicine to the outlying rural communities.  In March 2020, as the pandemic caused a complete shutdown of our country, we were able to flip the switch and immediately offer lifesaving Telemedicine services to all our patients throughout South Texas, many of whom receiving care in a timely manner was limb-saving or even life-saving.

We also continued to safely expand our services by opening a larger, state-of-the-art location in the South Texas Medical Center.  This office is one of two PVA locations where patients can easily access comprehensive vascular care.  This includes medical management, vascular lab testing, and minimally invasive endovascular procedures all under one roof.

2020 has also provided moments of reflection on our past as our founder, Dr. David Mozersky retired from PVA in May.  A true trailblazer, Dr. Mozersky started PVA as a sole practitioner in 1975.  Since then, he has served the needs of our community with compassion, tremendous skill and success.  We recognize Dr. Mozersky for having the vision of offering specialized services in a community that is deeply affected by vascular disease.

Our ability to embrace and adapt to the needs of our patients and their families throughout the communities we serve – from San Antonio, Eagle Pass, Boerne, New Braunfels and everything in between – are reasons why PVA is stronger today than a year ago.  Our commitment to you is to be here to serve your needs for another 45 years.

As 2020 comes to a close, we are most grateful for our patients and referring physicians.  We thank you wholeheartedly for entrusting your care and your patients care to us.

On behalf of PVA we wish you Holiday Blessings.
